Counselling (In Person)

SWA provides mental health services in person at our Belleville Ontario office. Counselling involves talking through the issues and learning, practicing and applying skills to assist you in addressing the presenting problems.

Virtual Counselling

Like in-person counselling, virtual counselling utilizes the same techniques and skills development strategies while you and your therapist interact online or over the phone.

I have worked in Child Development for 36 years, the last 16 years at Quinte Healthcare in Psychiatry. My work there was primarily with families assisting with high needs behaviour at home and at school. I also saw many parents for parent training.

I published the book Finding Calm in the Chaos: A Parenting Journey to help parents and families adopt positive parenting strategies in this ever-changing world.

I am an associate certified TCI trainer since 2001.

I have consulted for several years with SW&A, working with young people in care and with private clients using therapeutic play, CBT, and other basic modalities under the supervision of Jeff Waplak.

I am the proud mother of 4 grown children, and we have 4 grandchildren. I love to sew/quilt in my spare time.
